River Cleanup Day
The PIA has hosted several Delaware River cleanup days since it’s inception in 2017. Volunteers strap on their best clean up clothes and trek down to the river at low tide. Because of the reliance on low tide the clean up times vary at different points in the year.
Broad Street Beautification
Each Spring since 2017, the PIA gathers on Broad Street to clean the planter boxes and plant flowers in front of the businesses. Volunteers have the ability to “adopt” a flower bed (or pot) to water the flowers and maintain throughout the summer to keep our business district looking the best it can. The members of the PIA have also been known to help with decorating the business district during the fall and winter holiday seasons. We don’t shy away from any opportunity to improve our town!
